Solo Show: Heiðrún Sæmundsdóttir

Heiðrún Sæmundsdóttir will open a solo exhibition in Kubburinn at the Department of Fine Art, Laugarnesvegur 91 on 1st of oktber at 5pm. The exhibition is a part of a series of solo shows by 3^rd year BA students in Fine Art.

HERITAGE

The exhibition approaches textiles from different view points, weaving together a story that is both personal and easy to recognize. In each knot, stich and  loop there is movement, an action that leads to the next and then the next. And behind this act lies knowledge. Learned and passed down through generations that guides us foreward.

From October 1^st to November 26^th a series of 26 solo shows by 3^rd year students in Fine Art will be taking place in Laugarnes.

Each thursday a solo exhibition will be opened at three different locations in Laugarnes: The Cube on 2nd floor, Navel in the middle of the building on first floor and Hulduland on the north side of the building on first floor. Openings are from 17:00 - 19:00 on Thursdays.
