Sigurður Atli Sigurðsson, manager at the printshop in Laugarnes, will take part in the exhibition Formation at Gallery i8 that opens on November 15th at 5pm.

In addition to Sigurður, exhibiting artists are Emma Heiðarsdóttir and Una Björg Magnúsdóttir, alumnis of the Department of Fine Art, Örn Alexander Ámundason and Elísabet Brynhildardóttir, part-time lecturers at the department and Magnús Ingvar Ágústsson.

Formation features six emerging Icelandic artists whose work considers the human and the surroundings it creates for itself. With diverse approaches, from exhaustive research to playfulness and humour, the artists take traditional mediums head-on, referencing convention but in contemporary conversation.
