On Friday the 23rd of November at 1PM an open lecture by Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir will be held at the Iceland University of the Arts, Laugarnesvegur 91.

Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir introduced a few guiding principles and characteristics of her works

Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir, (b. 1969), graduated from The Icelandic College of Art and Crafts in 1994 and spent two years as a guest student in Germany. She received a BFA 1997 and a MFA 1999 from California Institute of the Arts, Los Angeles. Since 1999 Hekla has exhibited her works actively both nationally and internationally.
Hekla is one of the founders of Kling & Bang gallery and has taken on the role of a curator for several exhibitions. Hekla has been a professor of Fine Art at the Iceland University of the Arts since 2012.
