Í tíma & ótíma er verk sprottið úr hjátrú. Þeirri hugmynd að maðurinn geti sjálfur mótað örlög sín, kallað yfir sig gæfu eða ógæfu með tilteknum athöfnum. Með vörpuninni skapast ákveðin sveigja á tilverunni, hún er gædd dulúð og nokkurs konar tímalausri vídd. Því virðist draumkenndur heimur tilraunakvikmynda oft nær raunverulegri upplifun manneskjunnar, tilveru sem er síður absúrd en hún virðist við fyrstu sýn, hún fangar hið innra, hið brotakennda og hið draumkennda.

Through projection, a certain bend is created in reality. It becomes infused with mystery and a kind of timeless dimension. In this way, the dreamlike world of experimental film often appears closer to lived human experience, a reality that is less absurd than it seems at first glance, and which more fully captures the inner, the fragmented, and the dreamlike.
