Verkefnið svífur á milli hálfskyggðra sala demimondunnar og glóandi skjáa samtímans þar sem tvær konur lifa í gegnum ímynd, þrá og stjórn. Með rannsókn minni dreg ég fram hvernig lúxusfrillur Belle Epoque tímans og áhrifavaldar samfélagsmiðla dagsins í dag endurspegla hvor aðra og móta það sem þykir eftirsóknarvert, ósnertanlegt og stöðugt í augum annarra. Þær lifa rétt utan við viðurkenndan veruleika en skilgreina hann samt. Út frá þessari spennu móta ég mína eigin fígúru, demimonde áhrifavald, persónu sem er sköpuð með ýkjum, mótun og stíliseringu. Tímalaus tilvist þar sem líkaminn verður að sviði og sjálfsmynd að gjörningi.

This project drifts between the dimly lit salons of the demimonde and the glowing screens of today, tracing two women who exist through image, desire, and control. Through my research, I uncover how the cocotte of the Belle Époque and the modern social media influencer mirror one another, both shaping what is seen as desirable, untouchable, and endlessly watched. They exist just outside respectability (reality?), yet quietly define it. From this tension, I create my own figure, the demimond influencer, a persona sculpted through exaggeration, distortion, and styling, existing beyond time.
