Íslensku handritin eru lifandi samvinnuverkefni hönnuða í gegnum aldirnar. Þau hafa margoft verið endurunnin, þeim breytt og þau lagfærð, allt til okkar dags. Í handritunum má enn finna ókláraðar síður þar sem vantar teikningu sögustafa, upphafsstafa og myndlýsinga. Með verkefninu tek ég þann hluta að mér, sem nútíma leturhönnuður og teiknari, og vinn lifandi letur og myndlýsingar sem nýta hreyfigrafík til að tengja saman hefð og samtíma.

The Icelandic manuscripts are a collaborative, ever-evolving project shaped by many designers across the centuries. They have been repeatedly reworked, altered, and refined up to the present day. Some still have blank spaces where the drawing of the illuminated letters and decorative elements are unfinished. With this project I take on that role, as a type designer and illustrator, creating a dynamic typeface alongside animated illustrations that combine tradition with a contemporary approach.
