This piece is about saying I love you, not for the first time or the last time, but all the ‘times’ in between. The music explores how a sparse limited material can be organised into a multitude of gestures, and how the repetition of this material can expand its meaning. Therefore, the piece is about the deconstruction of repetition and the significance of repeated gestures.
„I write my music to redirect focus to where beauty and significance can easily be overlooked. My compositional voice is nothing but an invitation. An invitation to take a break. An invitation to be overrun by something which lies outside our sphere of responsibility“.
