Hentu aldrei happaþrennu

Heppni getur haft mikil áhrif á hvernig líf þitt spilast. Árið 1987 fengu Íslendingar loks tækifæri á að láta reyna á heppni sína í sjoppum og á bensínstöðvum landsins þegar Happdrætti Háskóla Íslands kynnti happaþrennur til sögunnar. Þetta voru lítríkir skafmiðar sem gáfu þér tækifæri á að vinna hundruð þúsunda króna á augabragði. Hönnun miðanna er skrautleg og sérkennileg. Myndmálið er fastmótað en miðarnir hafa þó breyst í aldanna rás. Í stað þess að seljast í sjoppum og bensínstöðvum og enda svo í ruslinu eftir sköfun fá þeir nú að njóta sín í bókverki og sinna nýju hlutverki.

Luck can have a major influence on how your life unfolds. In 1987, Icelanders finally got the chance to test their luck in shops and gas stations across the country when the University of Iceland Lottery introduced scratch cards called Happaþrenna (“lucky threes”). These were colorful tickets that gave you the opportunity to win big instantly. The decorative and distinctive design of the tickets is well-defined, although the tickets have evolved over time. Instead of only being sold in shops and gas stations and ending up in the trash after being scratched, they are given new life in this archival book.
