Nokkur tré, gróðursett af fjölskyldu minni, standa á jörð Reynifells á Rangárvöllum, norðvestan við fjallið Þríhyrning og Fiská. Norðan við landið rennur Eystri-Rangá, frekar bratt er niður að henni og klettótt er á köflum. Hinum megin við er uppblásið hraun, skreytt nokkrum lúpínum og nýgróðursettum birkitrjám. Jarðvegurinn þar er mjög þurr, blandaður vikri og sandi, og í fjarska glittir í Heklu. Þvert yfir landið liggur dæld og neðst í henni er skjól þar sem engin tré hafa verið sett niður. Síðan árið 1993 hafa þúsundir trjáa verið gróðursett í Reynifelli og í verkinu eru 766 þeirra skrásett.

Several trees were planted by my family on the land of Reynifell in Rangárvellir, northwest of the mountain Þríhyrningur and the river Fiská. To the north of the land the river Eystri-Rangá flows. Across it is wind-eroded lava, sparsely covered by lupines and birch saplings, the soil there is very dry, mixed with sand and pumice, and further to the north the volcano Hekla can be seen. A dip runs across the land where no trees have been planted and at the bottom the wind is unusually calm. Since 1993, thousands of trees have been planted in Reynifell, and 766 of them are recorded in this project.
