Í umslagi, líkt og ástarbréf, er samansafn af ástarljóðum sem ég hef skrifað á árunum 2020 til 2025. Hjartahlýja er ljóðabók þar sem ég býð lesandanum með mér í þann tilfinningarússíbana sem ást og ástarsorg getur verið. Að falla fyrir einhverjum getur einkennst af ótta og óvissu í byrjun, en síðar bjartsýni og hlýju. Vonleysi og sorg kemur svo í kjölfar sambandsslita, en sem betur fer er alltaf ljós handan við myrkrið.  

Ég vona að ljóðin mín snerti við lesandanum og fólk tengi við þau. Þetta verkefni er ekki aðeins fyrir mig sjálfa, leið til að opna á óuppgerðar tilfinningar og græða gömul sár, heldur er það fyrir alla sem tengja við þessar tilfinningar.

In an envelope that resembles a love letter is a collection of love poems that I have written between the years 2020 and 2025. Hjartahlýja (meaning “heart warmth”) is a poetry book in which I invite the reader to join me on the emotional roller coaster that love and heartbreak can be. Falling for someone can be characterized by fear and uncertainty at first, but later by optimism and warmth. Hopelessness and sadness follow a breakup, but fortunately there is always light beyond the darkness.  

I hope that my poems touch the reader and that people connect with them. This project is not only for myself, a way to unpack unresolved feelings and heal old wounds, but it is for everyone who relates to these emotions.
