Organised chaos

At the start of this project, I knew I wanted to work with crochet because of its tactility and textural possibilities. Rather than following traditional patterns, I developed my own method using a deck of 52 playing cards. Divided into four groups, each card offers different instructions. By shuffling and drawing cards one by one, the process becomes spontaneous and unpredictable. This system shaped both the technique and material choices—repurposed clothes, yarn, and various manipulations. Inspired by the idea of play and chance, this approach led to the silhouettes and final lineup featured in this exhibition.
