Verkið er röð ljósmynda sem prentaðar eru með litadufti og endurtúlka klassísk blómamálverk gegnum stafrænt samklipp.

Tilraunir til þess að ná tökum á þessari ákveðnu prenttækni þróuðust smám saman út fyrir upphaflegan tilgang sinn. Líkt og blómin, sem verkið sækir innblástur til, óx verkefnið á óvæntan og lífrænan hátt. Vídeóið á skjánum er einnig heimild um ferlið.

Hver mynd er prentuð í miklum smáatriðum og byggð upp með lögum af gelatíni, sem mynda áþreifanlegt yfirborð.

Í þessu ferli byrja mörkin milli myndgerðarinnar og viðfangsefnisins að leysast upp og söguleg málverkahefð birtist í nýju samhengi okkar samtíma. Verkið kannar þannig hvernig stafrænt myndefni getur umbreyst í varanlega sjónræna upplifun

Tri-color carbon transfer prints, video

The work is a series of tri-color carbon transfer prints that re-interpret classical flower paintings through digital collage.

What began as an exploration of a specific printing technique gradually grew beyond its initial intention. Like the flowers that inspire it, the project developed in unexpected ways, extending beyond direct control into something more organic. The video on the screen is a document of the process.

Each image is printed in high detail and built up in layers of gelatin, creating a textured surface that can be physically perceived.

In this process, the boundary between image-making and subject begins to dissolve, allowing historical painting traditions to re-emerge within a contemporary context. The works explore how images can evolve into enduring visual experiences.
