Í hjarta Stykkishólms er að finna hús sem  umbreytt hefur verið með það að markmiði, að tengja saman fjölskyldu og náttúru. Húsið verður að kynslóðarhúsi fyrir Sama fjölskyldu. Nýtt form rís ofan á núverandi húsinu, innblásið af skóglendi heimaslóða þeirra. Óhefðbundin svefnrými tengja íbúa við himininn á meðan aðalrýmið kallar á meiri samveru og meðvitaða tengingu við veðrið og náttúru með aðskildri viðbyggingu. Heimilið brúar bilið frá fortíð til nútíðar og tengir manneskjuna aftur við náttúruna og veðrið.

Under the Open Sky 

In the heart of Stykkishólmur is a house that has been transformed to connect family and nature. The house will become a multi-generational home for a Sámi family. A new form rises above the existing building, inspired by the forested landscape of their homeland. Unconventional sleeping spaces connect the inhabitants with the sky, while the main living area encourages greater togetherness and a conscious connection to the weather and nature, with a separate extension. The home connects the gap between origin and present, reconnecting humans with nature and the wether.
