Sahar Ghaderi // Sneiðmynd // Digital Reconstruction of Architectural Heritage, from Bam Citadel to Notre Dame Cathedral
This lecture questions the use and practice of infographic restitutions in the field of built-up materials vestiges. Virtual reality, Augmented and Extended Reality have been an important foundation in research and scientific experimentation. In the context of post disaster modelization, I will talk about my experience in Bam's digital reconstruction and discuss the most recent works of Notre Dame Cathedral´s restoration.
Tong Ma // Lecture series
Tong Ma holds a Ph.D. and is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Beijing University of Technology. Tong is currently a visiting scholar at the Iceland University of the Arts for this semester. He earned his M. Arch degree from UCL in 2011 and subsequently worked as a project architect and project manager at three design firms in Shanghai and Beijing for five years. After receiving his Ph.D. degree from Tianjin University in 2021, he has been teaching and conducting research in architecture and urban design.
