A Message from the Programme Director
This year’s MA in Performing Arts graduation festival features contemporary circus, a durational performance mirroring a 9am–5pm work shift, autobiographical theatre, and a dance with the more-than-human. By chance, a shared thread of performative risk runs through these works, despite their varied approaches.
Risk appears in personal vulnerability, relational closeness with audiences, pushing the body to its physical limits, and the financial stakes of uncompromising artistic vision. Conceptual or material, each work uses risk to intensify presence. These performances ask what becomes possible when artists step into the unknown and explore the possibilities that arise when risk is adopted as an artistic methodology.
Welcome to the Graduation Festival – MA in Performing Arts 2026!
Brogan Davison – Programme Director
