Mig langar að bjóða þér inn í minn hugarheim þegar ég les. Lesblindan mín lætur stafina 

hoppa úr stað og dansa á síðunni. Sérstaklega þegar textinn er settur upp með fótaletri eins og 

Times New Roman. Stundum sit ég og les og er búin með nokkra kafla þegar ég fatta að ég er 

ekki búin að meðtaka stakt orð sem ég á að hafa lesið. Það kemur fyrir að orðin margfaldast 

ofan á hvort annað og mynda orðasúpu á síðunni. Það hjálpar mér oft að hafa hljóðbók í 

eyrunum meðan ég les bækur en það eru ekki alltaf til hljóðbækur eða hljóðbrot af textum.

I would like to invite you into my world when I read. My dyslexia makes the letters jump out of place and dance on the pages. Especially when the text is set up in a serif font like Times New Roman. Sometimes I sit and read and have finished several chapters when I realize that I have not taken in a single word that I should have read. Sometimes it happens that the words multiply on top of each other and create a word soup on the page. It often helps me to have an audiobook in my ears while I read books, but there aren’t always audiobooks or audio excerpts of texts.
