Vatnið þrýstist inn um karmana, flæðir um allt og færist nær loftinu. Fjölskyldan sameinast í bát og tekur stefnuna á Sýslumannshólinn, Stykkishólmi. Á hæðinni rís nýtt heimili sem lyftir þeim frá vatninu og veitir þeim skjól fyrir vindum. Hvað getur arkitektúr lært af bátnum og hvernig hann vinnur með vatninu? Nýja heimilið tekur utan um þau, róar og tengir þau við umhverfið. Samvinna innan heimilisins styrkir tengsl þeirra, þau læra þau hvert af öðru og skilningur milli kynslóða eykst. Nýting fjarskiptamastursins á hólnum virkjar svæðið fyrir almenning og gerir öllum kleift að klifra upp og fylgjast með flæði hafsins.

The water seeps through the windows, flows everywhere and creeps closer to the ceiling. The family gathers in a boat and sets sail for Sýslumannshólinn, Stykkishólmur. On the hill, a new home rises that lifts them from the water and provides shelter from the winds. What can architecture learn from the boat and how it works with the water? The new home embraces them, calms them and connects them to the environment. Collaboration within the home strengthens their bonds, they learn from each other and understanding between generations deepens. The use of the telecommunications mast on the hill activates the area for the public and allows everyone to climb up and observe the flow of the ocean.
