Í verkaröðinni „Tilbiðja dranga“ skoða ég íslenskan skáldaheim sem birtist í ljóðum, þjóðsögum og kvikmyndum. Ég skapa myndheim sem er kunnugur, landslag og fornar frásagnir sem eru hluti af þjóðarminni. Áhorfandinn stígur inn í andrá – þegar sólin er að setjast eða rétt að rísa, þar sem dagur og nótt mætast og samband manns, náttúru og dýra er skoðað út frá gömlum hefðum og trúarbrögðum.  

Sjónarhornið er mótað af nýaldarsýn og áhrifum netmenningar, við það fá sagnirnar nýtt yfirbragð. Steinum sem hefur verið velt frá örófi alda er lyft og það sem þeir birgja er endurlesið og túlkað. Við það verður til ný merking sem skapar brú á milli tímabila, hugmynda og veruleika.

Worship Cliffs 

In the series Worshipping the Cliffs, I explore the Icelandic storytelling traditions through poems, folklore, and film. I construct a visual realm that feels familiar—landscapes and ancient narratives that are part of our cultural memory. The viewer enters a moment—when the sun is setting or just rising, where night and day meet, and the relationship between humans, nature, and animals is considered through the lens of old traditions and belief systems. 

These stories are reimagined through a contemporary perspective, shaped by New Age philosophies and the influence of digital culture. Stones that have lain undisturbed for centuries are set in motion once more—re-read, reinterpreted, and given new life. In doing so, they bridge eras, ideas, and realities, forging new meaning from old myths.
