The Iceland University of the Arts is a school of all arts. It is unique internationally in that the educational offerings are extremely diverse but there are relatively few students in the context of the course offerings The Iceland University of the Arts is the only university in the field of art in Iceland and therefore has a broad role to play towards the national population. The school operates in an international environment and compares itself to those schools in neighboring countries that are considered to excel in teaching and sharing knowledge in the fields of art.
