The Congress is a platform for artistic experimentation, knowledge creation, and conversation between the professional forum and the university community At the same time, the Congress is a place for the performing arts scene to come together and share methods and research, and think together for the future.
The theme of Praxis 2026 is „The Actor and the Role”" where the emphasis is on different acting interpretation methods and the actor's work within the performing arts.

Praxis is held in the large Black box of the Department of Performing Arts in the premises of the Iceland Academy of the Arts at Laugarnesvegi 91, 105 Reykjavík. You enter above a house, from the gravel parking lot.
