LHÍ teachers and students can get remote access to the school's local network through sk. virtual network (e.proxy) to which everyone then has to set up access settings, in a Firefox browser, on their computer.
With this, users can view articles in the library's special subscriptions, which are otherwise only available on computers on the school's local network. -

Studies in all departments of the school end with a final project.
The library does not preserve printed copies of final projects, but students submit an electronic copy of the final project skemman.is which is the universities' digital preservation library The final projects can be accessed at skemman.is and leitir.is

When submitting the final theses, the department from which the graduate is graduated must be selected, as well as the level of study: BA or MA.
Students log in to skemman.is with their LHÍ access.
It is important to finish going through the whole process. It ends by accepting the terms and submitting the work.
It is recommended that students have their final theses open, not least as they benefit from being able to refer to their essays after graduation.

Now LHÍ students can use Snara's web dictionaries at home with Microsoft login.
Here are instructions from Snara that will hopefully be useful.
1. Go in https://snara.is and there's a green button that says „Login“ (if there's no login button, you already have access and don't need to log in).
2. There are different login methods and then select „Login with Microsoft“
3. Next, you are asked for an email address and password (you use your @lhi.is email address and password).
4. So you have to confirm, with Authenticator (app).
