Life at the University of the Arts
The Iceland Academy of the Arts invites freshmen to step into a creative environment where ideas are allowed to grow, talent develops and relationships are formed with a diverse community of artists and academics On this page you will find the main things that help you start your journey with information about the program, the application process and the support available to applicants. Housing and Facilities
The Iceland Academy of the Arts is located in four locations: Stakkahlíð, Laugarnes, Skipholt and Þórunnartún.
There are different departments and study programs in the premises of the University of the Arts, and we all encourage you to find out where the relevant study path and services are housed.

Systems & Tools
The computer department manages the main systems and tools, and if the matter is urgent, it is important to send an email to the work of@hjalp.lhi.is.

Student Council/Social Life
There is an active social life at the University of the Arts and students manage the Student Association of the Iceland Academy of the Arts (SLHÍ). Under SLHÍ there are six student associations that are for most departments.
Work and exchange studies
Although the Iceland Academy of the Arts is the smallest university in the country, we send most students on exchange programs... per captia. Students are invited to attend an exchange program for a short or long time and we all encourage them to familiarize themselves with it on the website of the international office,
