Arnar Geir Halldórsson
B.Mus.Ed. Classical vocal and instrumental instruction
Arnar Geir Halldórsson was born in Keflavík in 2001. He started studying cello at Reykjanesbær Music School in 2009 and completed his secondary exam from there in May 2021. He was guided by Pawel Panasiuk at the beginning of his studies, but then Gréta Rún Snorradóttir took over as his main teacher until graduation.
In the fall of 2021, Arnar Geir began studying classical instrumentation at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, and Sigurgeir Agnarsson has been his main teacher. Arnar Geir has participated in numerous projects in Iceland and abroad through his schooling at LHÍ and in other fields. Among other things, he has been involved in symphony projects with the Young People's Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Gunnstein Ólafsson as well as the Iceland Symphony Orchestra's Youth Orchestra.
He graduated in classical instrumentation in the spring of 2024 from the Iceland Academy of the Arts and is now completing his studies in classical instrument teaching.
Arnar Geir has a passion for classical music and aims to further study cello.
