The annual registration fee at the University of the Arts is ISK 100,000. for students with citizenship within the EEA, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Switzerland as well as all students regardless of nationality who started studying at LHÍ in the fall of 2025 or earlier.

 

From fall 2026 tuition feels will apply to applications from a country outside of EEA, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Switzerland. Further information about tuition feels.

  • Registration fee

    The annual registration fee at the school is ISK 100,000.

    Tuition feels will apply for students from outside the EEA, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Switzerland beginning with enrolment in fall 2026. Further information.

  • Payment of registration fee

    New students with citizenship within the EEA, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Switzerland, who are enrolled to study starting in the fall semester, pay a registration fee of ISK. 100,000,- in the school's communication portal.

  • Application fee

    Applicants pay a 5000 ISK application fee when the application is submitted.

    Payment is made for each application. If there are more than one applications, an application fee is paid for each of them.

    The application fee is not deducted from the registration fee, even if the application is approved.

    The application fee is non-refundable.

  • Study break

    Students on study leave pay the full registration fee.

  • Authorization to reduce the registration fee

    The registration fee for one semester is ISK 65,000.

    Students with a disability certificate receive a 25% discount on the full registration fee and pay ISK 75,000.

    A disability certificate or disability ruling must be presented.

  • Other costs

    Students must always allow for material and book purchases. At the same time, printing costs must be calculated.

  • Date of registration fee at LHÍ for non-new students

    • June 20 for university studies starting in the fall.
    • December 20 for university studies starting in the spring.
