Continued development of the Creative Arts Research Center guaranteed

The Creative Arts Research Centre and the Ministry of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education have renewed the contract for the continued development and activities of the Creative Arts Research Centre for the next three years.

The University of Bifröst manages the Creative Arts Research Center, which is also managed by the University of Iceland, the University of Akureyri, the University of Hólum and the Iceland Academy of the Arts.

The agreement was renewed at today's board meeting of the Research Center, which took place at the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Stakkahlíð. The board consists of representatives of all RSSG owners, as well as representatives of the Association of Creative Arts, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and a minister-appointed chairman.

The aim of the agreement is to continue to promote research and build knowledge about the business life of culture and creative industries, with an emphasis on increased cooperation, data collection, analysis, social impact and communication to the public, government and stakeholders. Special emphasis will also be placed on the development of the dashboard of creative industries.
