Topics of discussion are:

  • The struggle for rights and the power of art  
  • Diploma, flexible studies and Open LHÍ  
  • Recommendations to the University of the Arts on the next steps  

The participants of the seminar are disabled people with various experiences with education and the education system, disabled and non-disabled artists and LHÍ staff.    

The administrators are Hekla Björk Hólmgeirsdóttir, consultant in the Ministry of Culture, Innovation and University, and assistant professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of Helsinki and Þóra Einarsdóttir, assistant rector for studies and teaching at LHÍ.   

The seminar will be interpreted in sign language and accessibility for wheelchairs is good (see HERE)

The seminar is part of the cooperation project of the universities, Entrant university studies at university level, which is funded by the Ministry of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education.

This event is part of the universities’ collaborative project Inclusive Higher Education, found by the Ministry of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education.
