Opportunities for performing arts in primary schools in the country

Formulation of curriculum: The keys to expression and creativity

Extract

A holistic society calls for a coherent education It is safe to say that the wealth of nations lies in the education of children and the knowledge that resides thereIn recent decades, Icelandic society has developed and a multi-faceted society requires diverse teaching methods for different students It is desirable that students find their strengths early in school so that they can build on them and find joy in the entire learning progress The possibilities of performing arts, dance and drama, are innumerable in children's learning and are argued for in the Primary Primary Curriculum.

The author of this project has composed teaching materials related to performing arts intended for primary school teachers and their students The author's ideas are derived from his experience as a performing arts teacher in a primary school in the capital area There is a need for such teaching materials as there is little teaching material in these subjects Hopefully this teaching material will be an addition to the flora of performing arts teaching materials and teachers will be motivated to use the teaching methods, whether it gives rise to integrating learning materials or allowing students to try creative ways.
