Space accepts what is outside, speeds it up, slows it down, multiplies it
leaks down, reflects
time stretches and loses its grip
flashes
as time slows down, things that are otherwise lost are revealed
a flash that echoes around the space appears and disappears
receives light and reflects.
Thus, steel transforms into water
a flash on the water will be silver lines that lay in the steel
and capture flickering moments in matter.
Welcome to the opening of the exhibition Blik /Flicker on Thursday, October 16 at 17:00. It will also be open between 12-18 the weekend after opening on the 18th-19th. October.
Gunnhildur Halla is interested in capturing magical moments that pop up on the surface of everyday life, float by and slow down the moment if we pay attention to them These moments she seeks to capture in matter, thus adjusting the fine strings of sensitivity and strength She works sculpture and installations in space and her materials are diverse but she works to form with metal, clay, coal and textiles in her work.

The space breasts what is outside in, speeds it up, slows down, multiplies it
leaks to the ground, reflect
time stretch out and loose its grip
fluctuations
when time slots down some things illuminate that otherwise are lost
flicker echos through the space, appeals and dissapears
catches light and reflect it
As steel transforms into water
a flicker on the water becomes silverlines that submerge into the steel
and capture a flickering moment in matter.
Welcome to the exhibition opening of Blik/Flicker on Thursday October 16th at 17:00. Also open between 12-18 the following weekend October 18th - 19th.
