The line draws inspiration from horror films from the early 20th century, where exaggeration is overwhelming in both acting and film This exaggeration of the Silhouette was a great trigger for me and I entered a practical study with the aim of deforming and exaggerating those clothes I made.
Using deconstruction tailoring, I photographed exaggerated silhouettes by mixing soft and stiff fabrics, a combination of wool, shirt fabric, lace and juggling form my renditions of classic horror movie characters.
The collection draws inspiration from early 20th century horror films which are characterized by dramatic acting, sets and costs. These dramatic silhouettes were the start of my research where I wanted to morph and deform the clothes I created.
With the use of deconstructed tailoring, I created dramatic silhouettes by combining soft and rigid fabrics, an amalgamation of wool, shirt fabric, lace and tulle come together to form my rendition of classic horror movie characters.
