We in the first year of Product Design at the Iceland Academy of the Arts invite you to an exhibition on Tuesday, May 5 from 17-20 in the Tower in Elliðaárstöð, Rafstöðarvegur 14.
The source is the result of the course Design in a context where students have studied and worked on projects about the importance of water in all their manifestations under the guidance of Rúna Thor, as well as the involvement of a number of instructors and guest speakers
What are blue-green surface water solutions? What are water bodies and is it important to protect them? And why did the European Union grant Icelanders a grant of 3.5 billion ISK to get water protection issues back to normal?
On these questions, the course began, but as the designers hope and direction are not answered at the exhibition, but rather new and even more complex questions such as: Is it possible to wear blue-green surface water solutions, does one gain something by staring at a stream for an entire night and is poop valuable?
Floating refreshments will be available in Grugg and Makk and Magic Brewery🍸
Looking forward to seeing you!

First-year students in Product Design at the Iceland University of the Arts, invite you to an exhibition on Tuesday, May 5th from 17:00 -20:00 at Turninn in Elliðaárstöð, Rafstöðarvegur 14.
Source is the outcome of the course Design in Context, where students have explored and developed projects on the importance of water in all its forms, under the guidance of Rúna Thors, along with contributions from natural mentors and guest lecturers.
What are blue-green water solutions? What are water bodies, and why does it matter to protect them? And why did the European Union grant Iceland 3.5 billion ISK to improve water conservation efforts?
These questions marked the starting point of the course, but as is often the case with designers, they won't be directly answer at the exhibition. Instead, new and perhaps even more complex questions will be raised, such as: Can you wear blue-green water solutions? Is there any benefit to staring at a stream overnight? And is poop valid?
Liquid refreshments will be provided by Grugg and Makk and Galdur Brewery 🍸
We look forward to seeing you!
