General meeting of the Hollnemafélag Iceland Academy of the Arts 2026
The general meeting of the Hollnemafélag of the Iceland Academy of the Arts will be held on Wednesday, April 15 at 12:15-13:00 in Stakkahlíð 1.
All graduates of the Academy of Arts are automatically members of the association. Furthermore, graduates of the School of Fine Arts and Crafts and the Iceland School of Drama are offered membership in the association.
The University of the Arts is currently looking for individuals among Hollmenni who are interested in participating in the association's work and sit on its board for one year at a time. There is no payment for a seat on the board, but the estimated work contribution of the board members is set for 3-4 lunch meetings every school year (the period August-May). Meetings are held in the school's main building in Stakkahlíð 1 and the board is offered a light lunch.
Ideally, representatives of all departments would form the board of the Hollnemafélag. If you are interested in running for a seat on the board of the Hollnemafélag, send them an email to hollnemafelag@lhi.is by April 8.

The activities of the Hollnemafélag have been different since it was first founded in 2015. The main goal of the association is to strengthen the relationship between former students and the school and build an interrelationship network.
In recent years, the main tasks of the association have turned to the reception of new students, where Hollnemi delivers an encouragement speech to students and to graduation, where graduates are welcomed into the group. These projects have become the core of the association's activities, but there is a desire to further strengthen the work of the Hollnema Association and various ideas on the table about how the work could be organized in a more diverse way.
If members wish to make legislative amendment proposals, they must be received within two weeks, and then the agenda of the general meeting with amendments will be sent to the members 10 days before the general meeting. The laws of the Hollnemafélag can be found on the school's website and in the Facebook group of the Hollnemafélag.
