Interlibrary loan

Interlibrary loans are loans from other libraries of books or magazine articles that are not available in the LHÍ library.

• • Interlibrary loans do not apply to loans from public libraries in the capital area. Borrowers are advised to get services directly from those libraries.

• • Requests for interlibrary loans are filled out at leitir.is (see instructions)

• • Borrowers:

    • • Find the writing yourself leitir.is and click on Search for available services
    • • log in as a user of the Iceland University of the Arts with an electronic ID or username and password
    • • deal Interlibrary loan í How to approach
    • • tick Willing to pay
    • • deal Delivery point from the list
    • • click on Send a request
    • • If the publication is not found on leitir.is.
    • • click on the tab Interlibrary loan
    • • log in with an electronic ID or username and password
    • • fill in Request for an interlibrary loan
    • • tick Willing to pay
    • • deal Delivery point from the list
    • • click on Send a request

We process interlibrary loans as quickly as possible and the loan period of data is 30 days, but you can request a renewal.

Publications and articles are delivered to the library's desk in Stakkahlíð. Please note that journal articles are only delivered in printed form.

Requests for interlibrary loans are binding and unclaimed requests will be charged.
