Annual meetings are held once a year, in accordance with the Academy Charter. See article 9 from the Academy Rules.

Article 9

Annual Meetings

In accordance with the Academy Charter, the Academy Board holds an open annual meeting to present the finances and principal operations of the Academy. The Board determines policy regarding the organisation of annual meetings.

Rules for the Iceland Academy of the Arts´Annual Meeting

Article 1

The Academy board shall, prior to the end of November of each year, hold an annual open meeting where Academy finances and principal core operations are presented. The annual meeting is not legally constituted.

Article 2

The Rector shall, on behalf of the board, call an annual meeting advertised with a minimum of one week’s notice. Advertising shall be hung up on Academy premises and shall, in addition, be publicised in the news media. The meeting agenda shall be mentioned in advertising.

Article 3

The Chair of the Academy Board presides over annual meetings unless the Board makes the decision to designate another individual in her/his place. At the meeting, the Rector shall present main points regarding Academy activities and policy. The Managing Director shall go over the main points of the Academy’s financial statement and report on its finances. The Academy Board shall otherwise decide the agenda for the annual meeting.
