Halldór Hansen's music day.

On Tuesday, April 14, an award ceremony and distribution will take place from Halldór Hansen's fund. The event will take place in Skriða, Stakkahlíð 1 and starts at 15:00.

pediatrician Halldór Hansen died after himself, a large collection of music with about 10,000 records, which he bequeathed to the University of the Arts in a will together with his other possessions that should go to a special fund in his name. The main goal of the fund is to strengthen the structure and support the music collection of the Iceland Academy of the Arts and to provide an annual grant to excellent music students.

The first grants were awarded in 2004 and have been awarded annually since then if left out in 2011, but no awards were given that year.
