THREADS - Collection Edition

Publishing house on the occasion of ÞRÁÐA and the publication of the 11th issue

Recently, a formal publication ceremony was held on the occasion of the printed publication of the magazine THREADS, where the publication of the 11th issue of the publication was also celebrated.

The magazine THREADS founded in 2016, the publication now marks its 10th anniversary, For that occasion, a printed anthology edition has been published, combining the first ten issues of the publication into one coherent work. The anthology edition contains a total of 83 articles by 49 authors.

From the beginning, the aim of the publication has been to promote a thorough Icelandic discourse on music that is neither limited to traditional disciplines nor limited to a single perspective. The content of the publication reflects this vision and spans diverse fields, including musicological and historical research, discussions about creative processes, the relationship between music and other art forms, as well as articles that deal with the social context of music.
