Lending rules
Borrowers
LHÍ's library is open to everyone. LHÍ students and staff are borrowers free of charge, while others can become borrowers of the museum by paying an annual fee according to tariff upon presentation of IDs Graduated students get free access to the museum for one year after graduation. Borrower rights may be renewed if the borrower is debt-free to the museum. Borrowers who have defaulted heavily may risk losing their credit rights and the right to renew the publications they borrow until they have settled.
Borrower's Liability
- The borrower is fully responsible for the publications that are lent out to him.
- If a publication is lost or damaged in a loan, the library reserves the right to collect compensation.
- Borrowers are kindly requested to comply with notifications of defaults on the museum's data.
Lending time:
- Books 14 days
- Notes and playscript 30 days
- Magazine 3 days
- Videos are for indoor use only
- Publications in the study library are loaned out for 3 or 7 days
- In special circumstances, for example due to teaching, you can get various manuals of the museum for short-term loans (1-3 day loans) by agreement. Encyclopedias, dictionaries, road signs and other such reference books are not loaned out.
Loan renewal:
- Loans of data may be renewed if no borrower is listed on the waiting list for them.
- Borrowers themselves can renew loans twice Leitir.is.
Publications taken from
- Borrowers can reserve material themselves Leitir.is or requested that a publication that is on loan be reserved for them. The borrower then receives a notification when the publication is ready for loan.
