Annual fee
IUA students and staff are entitled to borrowing privileges free of charge.
General borrowers pay an annual fee of ISK. 2,000.
Interlibrary loan
IUA staff are not charged for interlibrary loans.
IUA students are charged ISK 1,000 for interlibrary loans from Icelandic libraries, including books and article copies.
Other users are charged ISK 2,000 for interlibrary loans from Icelandic libraries, including books and article copies.
Interlibrary loan requests are binding. A fee will be charged for uncollected items.
Lost materials
If a borrower loses a book, they are responsible for the cost of replacing it. Exceptions may be made in certain cases and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The same applies to other library materials, including CDs, DVDs and sheet music. If such materials are lost, the borrower is liable for their replacement cost.
