Context welcomes Hekla Magnúsdóttir on Friday, October 24. During the lecture, Hekla examines graphic notation and different methods of composing for the theremin and its possibilities. She also discusses different trends and experiments with the instrument over the years.

Hekla Magnúsdóttir graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts with a bachelor's degree in composition in 2016. In 2023, she graduated with an MA from the Iceland University of the Arts in art education. Before that, Hekla has recently held workshops and courses that mix music, art and electricity both in Iceland and abroad.
