On February 13, Viðreisnar MPs Pawel Bartoszek and Grímur Grímsson visited the Iceland Academy of the Arts. They were accompanied by Pétur Björgvin Sveinsson, assistant to Viðreisnar's parliamentary party. Kristín Eysteinsdóttir, rector, and Hawk Björnsson, the executive director of LHÍ, welcomed them and presented them with the school's activities. The importance of creative industries in the country's value creation and the school's role in a large context were discussed.
In the school's presentation, LHÍ's facilities and housing options were discussed, but the school's housing issues have long been the focus of attention due to the poor state of affairs. Possible solutions were proposed and a strong desire was expressed to support the school in its journey to an appropriate future solution.
We thank Viðreisn's members of parliament very much for coming and welcome all parties to visit.
