The musical Leg by Hugleik Dagsson and Flís, which premiered at the National Theater in the fall of 2007 to great popularity, is the graduation show of the student actors of the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2025.

Leg takes place in Iceland in a future that was once distant and dystopian but shadyly relevant to our time It can be said that Hugleik's vision has come true in many ways, most of us seek love and acceptance on social media while it becomes increasingly complicated to exist in real life The press to look impeccable, have the most beautiful home, the coolest work and the funniest friends is getting bigger and bigger But which of these really matters?
Þórunn Arna Kristjánsdóttir directs a dynamic graduating group of the Icelandic Academy of the Arts' acting program, where the latest generation of theater artists deal with Hugleik Dagsson's sharp social satire with humor and playfulness as a guide.

WORDS FROM THE PROFESSIONAL DIRECTOR
Dear theatergoers.
It is with optimism, professionalism and a splendid creativity that the 10 student actors take to the flight into the professionalism of the performing arts They do not attack the garden where it is the lowest, but deal with LEG by Hugleik Dagsson and Flís, but the work broke new ground in Icelandic performing arts history when it was staged in 2007. LEG still has a mission like then, even more so when the spirit of the times and the use of social media are put into context with the work.
The artists who are now graduating as actors with a bachelor's degree from LHÍ have on last three years dedicated to studyingnu and the goddess of art with admirable determination and sincerity The physical and vocal techniques, acting techniques and scholarship of acting have been their nests but now it's time for them to fly their thin wings off into the future.
We wish them the best of luck with the milestone and wish them luck and success in life and on the path of art.
