Register for a course
The foundations of classical acoustics (seat system) are taught. Go to the treatment of triads and seventh chords in major and minor with an emphasis on good progress and solid results. The course is suitable for beginners in acoustics and is for students who will start studying in the department of music of the University of the Arts in autumn 2024.

Learning criteria: At the end of the course, students have to:

  • have technical mastery in the foundations of acoustics
  • can detect and position seventh chords in major and minor
  • can prepare and solve seventh chords in major and minor
  • know how to deliver the main results in major and minor

Teaching language: Icelandic
Location: LHÍ premises in Skipholt 31, 105 Reykjavík.
Teaching period: 22 May - 4 July, total 7 weeks.
Teaching days: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Assessment: Home assignments and final exams.
Price: ISK 45,000 / ISK 25,000 (half course)
