The Master's Student Architecture (M.Arch) Graduation Exhibition opened last Saturday in the Museum's Reading Room at Hverfisgatu The exhibition is called Architectures for care or Architecture for Sympathy in Icelandic. There, thirteen architects of the future show their graduation works.

The architects who show their work in the museum are: Amal Sneih Abou Farrag, Birta Fönn Kristbjargardóttir Sveinsdóttir, Fred Wilson Hendry Briars, Gísli Hrafn Magnússon, Heiðdís Helgadóttir, Helga B Þorvarðardóttir Kjerúlf, Íma Fönn Hlynsdóttir, Laufey Jakobsdóttir, Lárus Freyr Lárusson, Pétur Jónsson, Samuel Aron Laufdal Guðlaugsson, Sandra Dögg Þorsteinsdóttir and Victor Óli Búason. The curator is Jan Dobrowolski.

A large number of people made their way to the Museum House during the opening of the exhibition, as the weather in the city center is at its best on Saturday. The exhibition will remain open until June 1 during the opening hours of the Museum.

Gísli Hrafn received the educational grant from the Foundry.

At the Foundry's Education Congress 2025 in January, the University of the Arts received a grant in the amount of 500 thousand ISK. The foundry and the Akrkitektúsláfáil of the University of the Arts presented the grant at the opening, and it was Gísla Hrafn Magnússon who received the grant. A special selection committee reviewed all graduation projects and Gísla's design was chosen.

Review of the project: „The MArch thesis „Aesthetics of Survivalism“ by Gísla Hrafn Magnússon receives the Foundry's Educational Fellowship (FS25) for its ideological clarity, outstanding design and relevance to contemporary architectural challenges The work shows a good balance between creativity, technical skill and critical thinking, resulting in a project that is both innovative and meaningful“
