The exhibition New possibilities/New Environments, the final project of master's students in MA Design and New Environments at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, was opened on Saturday in the Herma gallery at Hverfisgatu. At the exhibition, twelve graduates present diverse projects that deal with the present with a critical, research-line and creative approach.

This year's graduates are: Andrea Ugolini, Anna Wallenius, Jacqueline König, Janek Beau, Katla JR Taylor, Linea Walker-Friedrichs, Max Greiner, Muhammad Hamza Khan, Natalia Grociak, Sun Menguyan, Tumi Bjartur Valdimarsson and Yasemin Kapkin.

The works cover, among other things, local topics and crafts, the use of waste and undervalued resources, the relationship between man and nature in the speed of the information society, and the validating design in social space. The exhibition shows prototypes, interactive installations, collaborative projects with society and institutions, as well as narrative design works and texts that put the projects in context.

The exhibition is open Saturday, May 23.
