TRANSLATIONS/SUGGESTIONS is an effort to view the exhibition hall as a space where language is not restricted to words, but appears as structure, classification and spatial adaptation.

The exhibition proposes that the space is not a neutral container but a process; a translation from one state to anotherNo original is available Only versions. Mirrorings without a model Repetition without origin No record of the first case exists Only the certainty that the second version will follow.

In the space, a sealed door continues to organize movement, and pillars prepare for loads that are no longer present Distances are measuredAttention is quietly assigned Roles are determined.
Here language is approached as a system of expectations; rhythm, interval, shift Meaning does not reside in objects or statements; it arises between forms It is tension, relation, discrepancy It does not appear as a statement but as a distribution.

Space is in translation The body reads before the brain explains The brain sorts before the body accepts A word that remains unsaid still shapes the mouthSounds that are not heard still fill the spaceThe room means you when you move through it Watching is not private.

In this exhibition, space becomes a scene of negotiation; between body and language, between perception and structure, between what goes through and what remains Absence is not a vacuum but the condition that where everything meets.

Works Irene Raven often drawing on research into a place, as well as the impermanence and instability of archives From an interest in systems, memory, and classification structures, she examines how matter, stories, and meanings drift, are reassembled, or provide resistance to preservation Her recent work examines language beyond words and approaches meaning as a spatial, physical, and relational phenomenon She examines how interpretation is shaped by structure, rhythm, allocation, and absence, and how understanding changes as it moves between bodies, systems, and contexts Through low-key interventions and speculative methods, Irene builds changing frameworks that focus on the physical act of tracing what is no longer locatable Her work deals with undefined presence; plants, buildings, objects, and linguistic forms on the boundaries between visibility and classification; and evoke alternative ways of perception.
