Friday, January 17 at 13-17, the 2nd year students' exhibition in architecture, product design and art at the Iceland University of the Arts in Stakkahlíð opens. Sand castles are symbols of short life, imagination and sensitivity. Students have dealt with sandcastle making and history making, thus studying the qualities and possibilities inherent in local natural materials. Come and see the result!

 

The exhibition will be open:
Friday, January 17, 1:00 pm-5:00 pm.

Access to the Cave is good The elevator is immediately on the left when entering Hamar Accessible toilets are on the same floor.

Sandcastles - material examination and storytelling

Friday, January 17th, 1-5pm, will see the opening of an exhibition by 2nd year students in architecture, product design and fine art at the Iceland University of the Arts in Stakkahlíð. Sandcastles are a symbol of ephemerality, imagination and fragility. Students have been involved in sandcastle making and story-telling, exploring the properties and possibilities of local natural materials. Come and see the results!
