Rhythm and connection in Conakry
Students and teachers of the LHÍ Faculty of Art Education, Performing Arts and Music report on their recent visit to Conakry, the capital of Guinea, which took place on 5 - 18 January 2026.
The LHÍ group worked with the dance company Ballet Merveilles de Guinée and met the artists of the party as well as getting an insight into the dance and rhythm culture of Guineans During the presentation, the group tells about their experiences and lessons learned from the visit.
The project was funded by Erasmus.
The presentation takes place in an exhibition space in front of a canteen in Stakkahlíð.
