At the exhibition you get to see innovative souvenirs, where the subject is the relationship between tourists and Iceland The project raises questions about what makes souvenirs,, authentic “ and how different perceptions can evoke memories Emphasis is placed on possibilities in local production and the diversity of Icelandic materials.</
The exhibition is the result of a 14-week group project of students in the course Dating with Tourism.
The exhibition opens on Friday, November 22, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Third-year students in Product Design at the Iceland University of the Arts are presenting the exhibition „Óekta/Unauthentic,“ opening at 16:00 on Friday, November 22, at Epal on Laugavegur 7 in downtown Reykjavík".
The exhibition shows innovative souvenirs exploring tourists’ connections to Iceland. The project reasons questions about what makes a souvenir „authentic“ and how senses can evoke memories. Emphasis is on the possibilities of local production and the diversity of Icelandic materials.
The exhibition is the result of a 14-week group project by students in the course Dating with tourism.
