Karen Yr Sigurbjörnsdóttir
Solo exhibition in Hulduland
Opening October 23, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
—————
The web-tangle is the universe,
no start, middle, nor end.
The cycle of the universe is improvised,
and the greens are the streaks of the Earth.
Interwoven with symbiosis,
man is intertwined with the web-tangle.
Underpinning my approach is a deep desire to understand the big picture, where the world's problem comes from, and how to redefine and scrutinize the values that society claims to be based on. For this I use ideas taken from ecological philosophy, about the necessary diversity of the biosphere and how everything in the universe is connected and works on each other. The desire is to siphon down ideological seeds about an intertwined world.
