The projects are the result of a two-week workshop and deal with different subjects and different interpretations of the environment by students. Guests get a different view of the landscape through different media and senses. They welcome you on a journey through Esjuhlíðar where the works are found scattered.
A map and brochure will be available with more information about design installations in Esjuhlíðir. Visitors walk around the area and get to see 10 different design works. Designers will be on site on Saturday and Sunday (27-28.04.2024)
The opening ceremony will be held solemnly on Saturday, April 27.
At 13:00 We meet, toast and officially put the exhibition in the parking lot in Esjuhlíðir (link to a map).
At 13:30 The design walk starts around the area.
The exhibition will be available until Sunday evening, April 28.

Exhibition ‘Esjan Offspring’
Exhibition by first-year students in product design at the Iceland University of the Arts is an offspring of a two-week conversation with the hills of Esjan. We invite you to come to Esjuhlíðar to see the outcomes of our collaboration with its landscape. You will be able to connect with Esja by sound, touch and feel, and to discover your relationship to the territory in new perspective. The installations are as diverse as the local flora and fauna which makes for a unique experience in Esjan.
The grand opening will be held on Saturday, 27th of April.

at 1:30 p.m. Guided design walk
The exhibition will be accessible until Sunday evening, 28th April.
The design students will be in the area on Saturday and Sunday to guide the guests around the installations.
