During the lecture, Jesper Pedersen will discuss the sound installation Vertical sounding acre, which was shown during Dark Music Days at the Grofto House Vertical sounding acreage is a multi-channel sound installation for speakers and singing bowls, designed for stairwells The sound from the singing bowls stretches across the entire stairwell, forming acoustic connections between the floors of the building Listeners are given the opportunity to experience the space in a new way, in the form of a vertical sounding acre that invites their guests to a unique presence and deep listening.
Jesper Pedersen is a composer, sound artist and teacher who specializes in synthesizers, electronic media and experimental music He teaches new media composition at the Iceland Academy of the Arts and has performed widely with his own work as well as in collaboration with other artists His work explores the relationship between technology, space and perception, creating a unique sound experience for the audience.
